Crochet Family

As I had written earlier I learned crochet from my MIL. I have seen my grandma and aunt crochet bags. My SIL has her own blog. So I can say ours is a crochet family. I am posting a few works of my MIL.

One more....

I made this hat for a friend. I got this pattern from youtube. I have used puff stitch in this hat. I crocheted an extra round to increase the size as I felt the size given in the instruction will not fit an adult.

The Kingston Hat

This is my all time favourite. I started doing this hat with a bigger crochet hook and it turned out to very big. So I made something else with that. I tried it again and this time I was very successful. Here are the pictures.
And I made one for my princess!

Little Red Riding Hood

My daughter has been my motivation for knitting and crochet. Now she is my model too. I crocheted a thin strap knit top for her. It took me a day to finish it in between cooking and other household duties. My husband made her wear it yesterday. It was perfect and very cute. Here is the picture.

H for Hat!

I am not friends with hats coz everytime I sit to crochet a hat it either turns to be very small or very big. I crocheted couple of hats without following any instructions. It turned out to be better than the ones that I made with written and visual instructions. I got the pattern for this hat from a baby magazine.

One thing I like about hats are they can be made within an hour. The next one is the hat that I made for my daughter..

Skirt...

Though I have used star stitch in my previous project I wanted to make something that has maximum star stitch in it. So I crocheted a skirt for my daughter. I made a belt with a different colour.
Details:

Yarn - Red heart

Crochet hook size K

Double crochet, treble crochet (for the belt loop), half double crochet and star stitch.

My first crochet project!

When I started my first crochet project all I knew was the chain and single crochet. I learned a few more stitches while doing this top. I made this for niece. Instructions given in Youtube helped me a lot to learn new stitches.

I have used crochet, double crochet, trebel crochet and star stich in this dress. I used a K size crochet hook.
