Sauji's Bag!

My mother-in-law is my knitting guru. I was so excited to knit sweaters and dresses for my daughter. I knitted a frock for her. It came out very well but was very small for her. So I converted it to a bag for her. I stitched the bottom and converted the sleeves into handles. I used some buttons and ribbons to make the bag more attractive. It turned out cute. Here is the pic!

Inspirations!

I watch Vijay TV's super singer 2008 regularly. I love the accessories that singer Sujatha Mohan wears. She used to wear necklaces with big pendants. I searched for such a pendant for a long time and finally found one that too ON SALE. It took me just one hour to finish this one. Enjoy!

Trash-to-Treasure

I love to work with juice bottles and wine bottles. A wine bottle, kadalai paruppu and acrylic paint can do wonders. Have fun!

I am back!

Its been a while (actually more than a year) since I posted on this blog. Pregnancy and parenting has kept me busy. But it didnt really stop me from working with beads. I made a few new necklaces. Here are the pictures of my works. Enjoy!

Believe it or not, it took me hours to complete the first chain. I guess its because of the slippery wire. The next one is my first attempt with the jewellery tools (cuttings and ottings).

I am a regular visitor of Joann Crafts and Fabrics (visit http://www.joann.com/ to find out products at Joann). I have laid my hands of all possible crafts. I always wanted to learn jewel making. But the price of the beads was little too much for me. There was a season when most of the beads were on sale. I bought lot of stuffs (ofcourse without the knowledge of my husband). These pictures are the output of my efforts.
